What are we going to do
Originally I got this idea when I was in Prague in 2003. I participated in ghost walks there and when I came home I wondered why we don't have same kind of an experience here in Turku.
Because there wasn't any, I had to do it by myself. I went through national archives website and newspapers that have been published in the early 1900s. I researched with keywords: murder, killing, robbery, theft. So the crime stories I tell you, are taken from the actual newspapers. Ghost stories that I share with you are collected from local folklore, some I have heard or read by myself.
The experience takes place in the central part of Turku: Aurajoki, hills of Vartiovuori and Samppalinna. Starts at Turku city library stairs.
Duration of the experience: approximately 2 hours
Roughly 4 km of walking
I can provide this experience in English or Finnish, depending on your preferences.

Toni was a great guide for our tour, really engaging and lots of interesting tales of Turku! So much history in the city that not many people are aware of. However, I'll be looking over my shoulder next time I go to the cathedral at night... :D Kiitos paljon Toni!
