What are we going to do
Pedralonga is a limestone rock formation on the coast, a few miles below the Capo di Monte Santo and the Gulf of Orosei/Baunei. It has been a natural monument since 1993 and it is a remaining part of the limestone crust that used to cover this side of the coast: a “witness of erosion”.
This hike starts at Santa Maria Navarrese and will go past Pedralonga (where a seasonal bar/restaurant is present) to arrive at Spiaggia di Fenile where a packed lunch will be consumed. Alternatively, it is possible to go back to Pedralonga and have a break there, before returning to S. Maria Navarrese.
The whole track follows the coastline and consistently overlooks the sea, gifting the visitor with breath-taking landscapes. With a bit of luck it may also be possible to see some dolphins passing by or some goats herding.
We recommend you to wear hiking shoes above the ankles, a hat, sunscreen and layered clothing in accordance with the season.
Each participant should also bring their own packed lunch, at least 2 litres of water, fresh fruit and snacks.

I did a hike with Gianfranco last year in September and it was absolutely great! We discovered the beautiful landscape of Sardinias mountains. Gianfrancos knowledge about hiking, nature and secret beaches, which are reachable by hiking only, is very admirable. I felt safe and entertained the whole time. So, whenever I will be in Sardinia, especially in Tortoli again, hiking with Gianfranco is definitely on my bucket list! :-)
