What are we going to do
Walking tour from traditional Finnish building’s constructions to the present day architecture. The journey begins from a medieval gray stone church, where we consider international influences to Northern architecture. Next we walk from building to building to look closely different styles of architecture, from Baroque to Empire, Neo-Renaissance, Neoclassicism, Art Nouveau, Functionalism and Modernism. Let's look at the scale, the preferences of decorative themes at different times and the effects of the development of building technology on residential and public constructions.
