What are we going to do

We pick you up from your hotel, from the Kemi harbour or from our office in HaparandaTornio Resecentrum / Matkakeskus. There you are given basic information on the experience and security instructions. We then depart towards Old Pine Husky Lodge, Finland (about 45-60 minutes drive).
By visiting the Husky Farm, you will have the chance to know the dogs and dive into pet therapy – you can also learn how dogs are bred and how the farm’s operations change across seasons. You will also learn about different kinds of Arctic dogs, their habits and lifestyle as well as how they are trained and looked after.
A short walk across the husky farm will give you the chance to see a historical house (Pirtti), a country chapel built upon an old granary and learn about the place’s deep roots in what used to be a well-trafficked smuggling route. The nature that surrounds the farm is lush and nearly all arctic tree species grown nearby.
The farm has a restaurant where you can have lunch (not included).
After a bit of free time we drive you back to the departure point (approximately 45-60 minutes).
