What are we going to do
Hi everyone!
I propose to have a walk with me in the most famous places of Lyon: Croix-Rousse, Bellecour, Vieux Lyon (Old Town), Fourviere's basilica & the Golden Head Park.
We will meet us and drink a coffee (if you wish) in Bellecour place, then we will walk (or take the metro, up to you) to the old town, which is, for me, the most beautiful district of Lyon.
We will walk between the old and the new buildings, on cobbled streets. Take advantage of this walk to look around you, and see all the ornaments in this part of the city. Of course, I'll tell you some storytelling 😉.
From Old Lyon, we will climb the stairs (or take the funicular railway) to the Basilica of Fourviere, one of the most famous and beautiful places in Lyon. We were able to visit the basilica, the "Garden of Curiosities", as well as the old Roman amphitheatre.
Then we will drive to Croix-Rousse, the old silk district, which is part of the city located on one of the two hills (the 2nd hill is where Fourviere is located), with many typical French Haussmann buildings.
After that, we will go for a walk in the Golden Head Park, one of the largest parks in France, and the only free park with animals and lakes in it.
