What are we going to do

Welcome in our Sleddog-farm at 10h00 latest! We first explain you the sled, how to drive, brake, steer etc. Hoping you have warm clothes on, as this takes place outside. Then we move to the kennels and you get to know your dogteam for today. 4 - 5 dogs for beginners. We prepare the dogteams together and make a training run af about 18km, driving different technical trails to prepare you for the overnight-trip. Later in afternoon you enjoy a sauna, before we serve you a tasty dinner at 19h. Overnight in rooms with private facilities in ourguesthouse.
Nest morning, after breakfast in the lodge, we pack the sleds with our lttle bags, harness the dogs again and start then for our overnight-trip to the Aittokoski-Cabin, 36 km north. On the way up North we have short breaks for the dogs, they get a snack and we can have a warm cup of tea. The ride takes about 3 hours in perfet conditions, but can also take up to 4 1/2 hours. When arrived at the cabin, we feed first the dogs, make fire inside the cabin, then prepare a late lunch for us, heat up the wooden sauna, cuddle the dogs, cook dinner and enjoy the evening in the cabin.
Next morning we feed the dogs in the morning, eat breakfast and pack our sleds again. We head south back to the lodge, where we will arrive latest mid-afternoon. Hot lunch-soup served in the lodge, then you have to say goodbye to the dogs.

very cool experience, dogs are lovely, guides are patient, trails are very nice! Loved especially the parts on the lake, as that was most relaxing! In the forest it is more challenging with ups & downs, soft parts, trees etc. Great adventure!
