Hiking in Hyvinkää Sveitsi Forest

This tour gives you an experience of how it feels to wander in an untouched Finnish forest. We can find trees, swamps, small hills, bird sounds - and of course, the most important: silence. Sveitsi Wilderness is located just beside Hyvinkää town, some 60 kilometers from Helsinki. You will have a private transport with a 8-seat van from your hotel or airport and personal guide with you all the time in the forest. We will have an easy hike in the forest, get experience how to make an open fire and grill the Real Finnish Forest Food - sausages.

This tour is fully customizable according to your requests; we can also visit the world-famous Hyvinkää Railway Museum nearby. Please ask for a customized tour!

ITINERARY:
We start from Helsinki airport or hotel and drive approximately one hour with a van to the western side of Hyvinkää town, a place called Sveitsi Forest. We leave our car to the parking place at Hyyppärä and start our 5 km hike in the forest. We will have a mid-hike break beside a small swamp-pond of Iso Karhu or Kaksoslammit. There we will fry some sausages. The ponds and swamps in Sveitsi forest are deep and brown coloured but clean, so you can try a swim also! Our hike continues until we return back to the car. The day ends with a return trip back to your hotel in Helsinki or airport.

I am a Nature and Wilderness guide, with a professional ability to work as a tourist guide in Helsinki. I am also able to take you to Suomenlinna as an authorized guide, although it is not allowed to ride bikes there. I have started as a tourist guide year 2013, and I have professional education for this kind of lifestyle and profession. I used to be 39 years as an computer engineer, but that was not nice... so now it is the time to enjoy life!

This is an easy level hiking experience, and does not require special abilities. As we are wandering in a forest, you will need good shoes or rubber boots. Clothing needs to be weather-suitable.
