What are we going to do

The greenest way to get around in Helsinki is the public transport and the best way is the green city tram!
Helsinki is a city where East meets West, offering unique experiences for visitors. The city's architecture is typified by Nordic minimalism and refinement. Modernism, functionalism and the largest concentration of Art Nouveau buildings in Northern Europe make Helsinki a major city of architecture.
The city centre, especially around Senate Square, forms a unique and cohesive example of Neoclassical architecture. Helsinki's emblem, the white Lutheran Cathedral completed in 1852, the landmark of the city stands magnificent on neo-classical Senate Square and gold-domed Uspenski Orthodox cathedral presents the Russian era in our history. Market Square (open-air market) has always been the citizens daily shopping center, fresh fish, berries, vegetables and flowers, supplies will change as four seasons go by. Enjoy the traditional cup of Finnish coffee!

About Guide Maarit - the Doer

Helsinki is my home town and my local knowledge is excellent, including the metropolitan area. I know all the hidden gems of Helsinki and those in its locality!
In fact, any kind of a private sightseeing or City Tour can be tailored to your liking, including all the main highlights. Usually, we drive around in a minivan or we can take a tram and go riding on the public transport which is very good in Helsinki. The Helsinki trams are green in colour and also a sustainable way of travel.
