Guided Christmas tour in Jyväskylä 25.11.2023

Come join our Christmas bus tour and get your gifts for Santa's sack! Along the way, you'll learn about the history and traditions of Christmas in Finland, as well as why Jyväskylä is known as the birthplace of Finnish-language Christmas carols and Christmas celebration traditions (in Finnish). We'll make stops at several local shops, factory outlets, and boutiques, making it easy to find gifts for under the Christmas tree and delicious treats for the Christmas table.

Jyväskylä-based Puttipaja has been creating Christmas ambiance with their candles since the 70s. We'll visit their factory store, which is filled with delightful products, perfect for either yourself or as a gift.

Next, we'll head to the boutique of Design Pylsy in Vaajakoski, known for its timeless style and Scandinavian clean lines. At Design Pylsy, you'll find products adorned with the Avainlippu label, including clothing, accessories, and interior decoration items. While visiting Design Pylsy, we'll enjoy a mulled wine reception with gingerbread cookies (included in the tour price).

Our next stop will be at Panda's factory outlet to stock up on Christmas delicacies. The confections for the festive table are a must-have for a Finnish Christmas, but Panda is also renowned worldwide for its licorice.

We'll conclude the journey at Toivola Old Courtyard, a charming Christmas courtyard. In addition to providing a Christmas atmosphere and a beautiful setting, Toivola offers Christmas food and drink delicacies, design items, art, and history.
