Wiksberg manor was here before the factories. Its history is entangled with the industrial revolution and the formation of the city we call Forssa. The manor house burned down in 1978 and most of what is left is hidden underground and among the overgrown garden.
New information was dug up in 2020 when Forssa museum performed an archaeological survey and excavations on site together with local high school students. This new information has been written into a guided tour through the manor grounds.

Requirements
We recommend that you wear comfortable, weather-appropriate, outdoor clothing and good shoes for the tour. The terrain might be moist and uneven in places. The site is not unfortunately accessible by wheelchair.
